Maurice “Reece” Riden, II, Esq.

Reece attended Emmanuel College, located in Franklin Springs, Georgia, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pre-Law studies with a concentration in History. Reece was an All-American and National Champion all four years while at Emmanuel College competing in both Cross County and Track & Field. He continued his education at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School, where he was voted National Vice Justice of the year for his legal fraternity Phi Alpha Delta, International. He also worked as a student research assistant, peer mentor, and student ambassador while at AJMLS.
After earning his Juris Doctor, Reece began his practice as a staff attorney in Hall County, where he assisted the counties civil and criminal docket for all state court proceedings. Before joining Groth and Makarenko, Reece worked for one of the state’s largest insurance defense firms representing various insurance providers and large corporations. He joined Groth & Makarenko in January of 2021, and his practice focuses primarily on automobile and premises liability defense.
Reece and his fiancé reside in Hoschton, Georgia where they enjoy running, cycling, and hiking on their free time.
